GW and PBH from Supercooled Phase Transition

摘要:

The electroweak phase transition (EWPT) is an important topic, it connects the Higgs physics with the evolution in the early universe. If it is strong 1st order, it can provide the environment for successful baryogenesis, and produce the observable gravitational wave signals. In this talk, I will briefly introduce my recent works on supercooled EWPT. In the first part, I will discuss the possible challenges when we want to explain the possible GW signal from PTA observations using supercooled EWPT. Then in the second part, I will discuss the case where PBH can be produced during a supercooled EWPT, and discuss relevant phenomenology.

报告人简介:

吴永成,2017年在清华大学获得博士,随后到Carleton University和 Oklahoma State University做博士后,并于2022年入职南京师范大学。主要研究方向包括高能对撞机上的希格斯物理以及电弱相变的唯象学,中微子物理、尤其是CEvNS实验以及以中微子做探针的新物理研究。
